At Florida PACE we have on staff Department of Energy Better Buildings Initiative Home Energy Score certified Assessors. The first step to energy savings is knowledge and knowing the cost of energy you currently use and how much your usage can be lowered gives a dollar figure savings. Compare this dollar savings amount with the cost of energy efficiency improvements and you will have a definitive answer to what improvements give you the best return on investment.
Our certified assessor energy evaluation team will thoroughly inspect your property’s potential energy savings areas providing you with a personalized cost savings analysis determined on the below 10 evaluation points:
- Current energy usage according to your energy bill
- Age & condition of Air Conditioning/HVAC equipment “coil, ductwork, condenser and filtration”
- Air Conditioning/HVAC system design efficiency & property cubic footage
- Indoor & outdoor lighting wattage usage & condition
- Building openings such as windows & doors
- Exterior & Interior thermal imaging examination
- Insulation type & thickness -R Factor
- Age & technology of water heating, pool equipment and fan ventilation
